Legendary actor James Dean, who died in a car accident in 1955 at just the age of 24 will be starring in a new movie.
The producer of the movie ‘Finding Jack’ Anton Ernst has said that he’d be casting a digitally generated model who would look just like James Dean.
Though the move to digitally restore James Dean sounds like paying homage to the late actor, a lot of famous actors have voiced their angst against the digital adaptation of James Dean.
The most prominent one among them is Chris Evans, who made this sarcastic remark on Twitter:
Ardent James Dean fans were not much thrilled. They felt that instead of paying homage to the great actor, they were milking dollars off his name and image even after his death.
Others who were displeased included Elijah Woods of The Lord of the Rings fame.
We still don’t know how to deal with these situations. If this is the new trend, then a good question to ask would be– Is AI taking over the movie industry?
