Jason David Frank, who worked in ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ as Tommy Oliver died in Texas on Sunday, his representative Justine Hunt confirmed with the media.
David was 49.
Justine Hunt said in a statement, “Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being,” and added, “He loved his family, friends, and fans very much. He will truly be missed.”
Certain sources predict that Frank’s death was due to suicide, but the official cause was not yet revealed.
Actor Frank portrayed as Tommy Oliver who is the original Green and White Ranger, his former co-star Walter Jones also said in a statement to TMZ, “He was an inspiration to so many people. His presence will be dearly missed. It’s so sad to lose another member of our Ranger family.” The actor Walter Jones played the original Black Ranger Zack Taylor in the franchise.
The 51-year-old Jones also posted an image of Frank with him and the original ‘Power Rangers’ co-stars Austin St. John and David Yost with the caption, “Can’t believe it … RIP Jason David Frank🙏🏾.”
