White House was all lit and sparkling ready on December 2, Thursday night. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden hosted the first state dinner, welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron. This was the first administration’s state dinner after his election. The special dinner came after the Biden’s granddaughter’s wedding last month.
“France was our first ally, the first country to fly the American flag after our revolution,” said Baiden in his toast, remembering the long relationship between the two countries, “Today, we’re still united by the greatest causes: democracy, liberty, equality, opportunity and freedom,”
“You perfectly describe the challenges we have in front of us,” said Macron, addressing Mr.Biden as “dear friend.”
Biden’s children Hunter and Ashley, and his sister, Valerie Biden, were also part of the beautiful gathering at the White House.
Jill Biden was stunning in an off-shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown and Brigitte Macron was looking gorgeous in a high-necked half-white full-length gown by Louis Vuitton.
Jill Biden gave an open invitation “Enjoy the evening” as the foursome gracefully headed inside.
Guests list holds amazing people’s names, starting with Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, followed by Gov. John Carney.
The gathering was a star-studded night with lawmakers, business people, actors, singers, and comedians, all in one common ground.
