One of Spotify’s popular is Joe Budden’s podcast and now it is said to go off the air. The news was confirmed by Joe stating that it will no longer be available after September 23rd and also hint that the earlier shows will also be removed.
“September 23rd, I cannot tell you where this podcast will be,” he explains. “But as it stands, I can tell you where it will not be, and that is Spotify.”
He announces this as a chance to char Spotify and give a clear picture of the history he had with the firm with which he had a deal for all these years and has become one of the famous podcasters in that field. He said that his listeners surpassed his expectations 900 percent creating a record.
Adding to this he stated that he was never offered a bonus and the firm didn’t give him off on Christmas and New Year’s Eve since that will miss two episodes. Instead, the firm offered him with Rolexes just to say they gifted the most expensive gifts. When he urged them to giveaway cash prices to their listeners the firm declined to do so.
“That was the first time it dawned on me that Spotify is pillaging,” he says. “You pillage the audience from the podcast, and you’ve continued to pillage each step of the way without any regard for [the fans.]”
He also said that two years before when he made a deal with Spotify other podcasters could find better offers with several firms.
