The ‘Teen Mom 2’ star wants to be recognized for something other than the show by building a podcast empire. Kailyn’s PodcastOne has several shows, including, Coffee Convos with Lindsey Chrisley, Baby Mamas No Drama with Vee Rivera, and Barely Famous.
Though being a mother of four children and raising them on her own terms is her great milestone, she is on the verge of crossing another one in her career. Yes, she wants to be a pioneer in the podcast industry knowing that not everyone understands the value of podcasting.
Lowry told People magazine, “I don’t think that anyone takes podcasting seriously. They don’t look at it as a job. It’s a hobby for a lot of people, and you either make it or you don’t in the podcast industry. There’s no in-between. It’s either a job or a hobby.”
The 30-year-old also mentioned, “I had to go against some MTV contracts to start the podcast” because she wanted to focus on making a name for herself outside of TV. Luckily, her decision and efforts paid off. Now, after acquiring success in the podcast space, she is working to help other aspiring podcasters.
