A woman from California has been imprisoned for 5 weeks for giving $9000 to make her son have his college online classes as per sources. Further, Karen Littlefair was also accused of asking a discount when the accomplice got only a C in a class.
Karen is one of several others who was caught in the scandal of college admissions which was organized by William “Rick” singer who is alleged of enabling rich and influencing people to put their children into prestigious universities or for getting applications for their desired colleges.
Two main people who were caught in the scandal were Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman.
But in the case of Karen, she is not from a wealthy background as the others, even though she is around A-listers in California presenting fundraisers for Republican participants at her Lido Island house.
Karen asked for forgiveness for the single charge of wire scam and was guilty of various sets of reasons that were compromised between her attorney team and prosecutors from the US legal office in Boston.
When Karen’s son got into educational probation at Georgetown University in 2017 she had reached out to the Singer who accepted to get his staff takes 4 online classes instead of $9000. When Singer charged for a class with $3,000 she went on to allege that the staff conducting the test received a C and stated that she wanted a discount and added that “the experience was a nightmare.”
