Lady Gaga wins the audience’s heart at the 2023 Oscars with an astonishing performance of the “Hold my Hand” song from Top Gun: Maverick. The film academy originally reported Gaga was not ready to perform at the 2023 Oscars but she appeared Sunday with full energy. The concert at the 2023 Oscars begins with Lady Gaga sitting on a stool with her microphone in a black t-shirt. She began the song by saying it was written in her studio basement. Gaga said “It’s deeply personal for me, And I think that we all need each other. We need a lot of love to walk through this life. And we all need a hero sometimes.”
She also continued “But you might find that you can be your own hero, even if you feel broken instead.” Firstly, she was accompanied by a keyboardist on the stage. As the song processed, it flows like an epic roll ballad before the singer concludes the last words “I heard from the heavens.” Oscars producer Glenn Weiss said in a preceding statement “It didn’t feel like she can get a performance to the caliber that we’re used to with her and that she is used to. So, she is not going to perform on the show.” The nomination of “Hold My Hand” for the best original song makes Lady Gaga the first artist to acquire three nominations in that category.
