The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is nothing but a museum built to commemorate the art and science of movies. The main motto of the museum is to share the diverse and dynamic history of cinema with the world. The total square footage of the project is 300,000.

- The Venue includes a 1,000 seat Geffen theater designed by Renzo Piano for performances, movie premieres, and public programming.
- 50,000 square feet of gallery space with a series of exhibitions, including the three-floor core exhibition stories of cinema and also the first Hayao Miyazaki retrospective in North America.
- The lobby area showcases light and shadow play.
- The front side of the new building is the original May building (opened in 1939) and the backside contains architect Renzo Piano’s giant bubble.
- The stories of the Cinema gallery contain scenes from Raging Bull.
- A vintage make-up kit, Elton John costume, Bruce Lee’s Nanachaku is kept on display at the new Academy Museum.
- Visitors can wander through the scenes from popular movies in the stories of cinema galleries.
The Academy Museum of Motion pictures is located at 6067 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles. Visiting hours are from 10 a.m.-6.p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 10. a.m.-8.pm. Friday to Saturday. Tickets are priced at $25 for general admission, $19 for seniors, $15 for students.
