Mariah Carey, 52, performed at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on Thursday. The parade featured rock-on performers including Paula Abdul, Jordin Sparks, Lea Michele, Dionne Warwick, Betty Who, Big Time Rush, Gloria Estefan with her daughter Emily and grandson Sasha, Sean Paul, and Jimmy Fallon.
The singer, self-acclaimed ‘Queen of Christmas,’ Mariah Carey wore a dramatic pink mermaid finish tulle Cristian Siriano gown. She was donning her gorgeous look along with a sparkling tiara and matching pink umbrella.
The pop star rocked the audience with her iconic song ‘All I Want for Christmas.’ She stood still during the performance and didn’t join the dance.
Ian Hest, a sports journalist wrote, “Mariah Carey is getting millions right now to just stand there with her umbrella and honestly I’m not mad. Mad respect.”

She was accompanied by a group of dancers dressed as toy soldiers grooving around her. To the audience’s surprise, a pair of gift boxes opened up to show her 11-year-twins, Moroccan and Monroe, joining her alongside the famous track.
The singer’s performance was special and magical ending the event, just before the arrival of Santa Claus’ sleigh.

The video ended with the singer’s daughter Monroe, 10, waving goodbye and clapping for the easter bunny from the balcony. “Happy Easter!!!” Mariah Carey wrote in her Instagram post.

In an embarrassing encounter, Mariah Carey sent a text meant for her cousin to Shawn Mendes. The “Emotions” singer is having a bit of trouble keeping a check on the “Shawns” in her contact list lately. It turns out to be hilarious and she shared the screenshot of the text on Twitter.
Mariah Carey clarified that her cousin Shawn with the same last initial M to whom she was used to sending “Happy Thanksgiving on St.Patrick’s Day” as an inside joke was accidentally sent to the Canadian singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes.
“My cousin Shawn M and I have this silly joke where we tell each other Happy Thanksgiving on St. Patrick’s Day,” Carey wrote alongside a screenshot of the exchange. “@ShawnMendes found out about it today.. sorry Shawn!!”
She shared a screenshot that said, “Happy Thanksgiving” with a leaf emoji. As soon as she realized that she sent to the wrong Shawn. She texted again saying “Wrong Shawn. Sorry. Also, I do realize it is NOT Thanksgiving. Haha.”
The 23-year-old singer replied to the text with a laugh and two red hearts saying “hahahaha that’s okay I figured it was an inside joke”
