The world premiere screening of Susan Sarandon’s “Blackbird” was briefly halted when an elderly audience reported distress. It was halted while it was about to end.
Toronto International Film festival at Roy Thomson Hall featured this movie premiering and the screening is stopped approximately 10 minutes. Apparently, a commotion erupted near the orchestra section where people started voicing emergencies and called for a doctor.
An elderly man appeared to be in some kind of distress and needed an emergency room visit immediately. It was still not clear about what exactly happened and the current health status of the person in health ailment. Though no doctor was on-site, Thomson Hall staff brought the man water and he after walked out of the theater with assistance.
About the Movie:
The movie is based on the 2014 Danish film “Silent Heart” which was directed by Bille August. Roger Michell is the director making the “Blackbird” from a script by Christian Torpe. The film also stars Kate Winslet, Mia Wasikowska, Sam Neill, Rainn Wilson, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Lindsay Duncan, and Anson Boon.
