Met Gala Event – The Fundraising Benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Kicks Off On Monday

The 2019 Met Gala will be held on Monday in New York City. The event, also passionately referred to as “fashion’s biggest night out,” is celebrating its 71st anniversary this year. It is better known as the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit or the Met Ball.

The black-tie charity performance raised over $12 million in the previous year’s gala. The glamorous event welcomes celebs and stars from Hollywood, young designers and artistes, and the icons of the fashion industry. The grand opening of the much awaited Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition: “Camp: Notes on Fashion” on May 9, 2019 will also be promoted at the Gala.

Lady Gaga, Serena Williams, Harry Styles and Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci will accompany Vogue’s longstanding editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, as this year’s co-hosts at the Gala. So, we’re expecting all of the red carpet patrons to sizzle in extremely stunning creations.

Lady Gaga Ready To Steal The Show

The Oscar Winner wrote on social media, “Met Gala here we come. Destination ‘Camp,’ so excited to co-chair Anna’s event,”.  And yes, she’s already landed in New York City well before the event(the event. Fashion fanatics are predicting that the Star may be seen in a modified version of Marc Jacobs Resort 2019 collection. She has sported an ensemble from the same collection as seen through her snapshot posted on Instagram on Friday while on her way to NYC. She had been away from Instagram for almost two months.

Lady Gaga made her first appearance at the Met Gala in 2015. She donned a custom black and cream gown from Balenciaga (designed by Alexander Wang). She even portrayed a dark brunette look for the occasion. The last time she attended the Met Gala was in 2016. She looked elegant in a silvery outfit comprising of a bodysuit, jacket and fishnet tights from Versace.
