Meta has stepped up in the AI division by introducing Make-a-Video, the process of creating high-quality videos from a simple text prompt.
The text-to-video generator is “Meta AI’s recent progress in generative technology research and has the potential to open new opportunities for creators and artists,” according to the division’s blog post.
The Make-a-Video tool utilizes text to create a realistic image and then generates sequential frames to develop into a video. But the videos are of bad quality, making them both admirable and terrible. The quality of the video is a bit strange and weird to look at the never-ending video. But it is safe to say that the quality and performance of the videos will improve.
The tool slightly resembles OpenAI’s Dall-E, which enables users to generate visual art from the text. OpenAI said roughly 1.5 million people use the tool and make more than 2 million images per day.
