The Metaverse platforms had become an attraction for investors in recent times. Especially it gained momentum when celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Gucci and leading businesses like Republic Realm, PwC, and HSBC invested in it recently.

Now leading Asian billionaires were joining the race now. Kwek Leng Beng, a Singaporean hotel businessman recently bought virtual properties in blockchain metaverse platforms like The Sandbox and Decentraland.

In an official statement, Millennium Hotels stated that the hotel is planning to expand its space by creating “a place for all to gather and discover the virtual reality universe” in the metaverse platform. In fact, the hotel is even planning to open its virtual doors in early May. Those who visit the hotel in the virtual verse will be guided by an avatar to look around the building and can even win surprises in the real world.

Also, the Chinese Billionaire Lo family’s Regal Hotels Group from Hong Kong also purchased virtual properties on the Metaverse.

The vice-chairman and the daughter of Lo Yuk Sui, Poman Lo stated that “Web3 and metaverse technologies will not only disrupt every facet of our daily lives but also empower socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable impact in the world. The MetaGreen project strives to inspire, educate and catalyze a more sustainable future by mobilizing a green ecosystem of like-minded partners who will co-create this path to carbon net-zero with us.”

Indeed, though the metaverse is built upon a complex concept in the digital landscape, it is opening up promising opportunities for investors and people.

Hollywood music, film, and other celebrities are racing to monetize the metaverse, and here is how they do it.

Snoop Dogg quoted a $2000 entry fee for his “Snoopverse”. The rapper revealed the release date through a teaser. There are only 5000 tickets for the inauguration. The Snoopeverse is an exact replica of his Californian residence. It is built on the Ethereum blockchain platform called The Sandbox. It is a digital real estate offering virtual concerts, art and car exhibits, pool parties, and shopping.

On the other hand, Paris Hilton put up her entire digital wardrobe for sale on Roblox. The socialite owns a virtual island with an exact replica of her California home. Users can enter her house and raid her wardrobe to purchase digital outfits. These outfits can be worn digitally only.

These celebrity announcements have attracted throngs of fans who are eager to collect passes, make reservations, or even buy digital plots besides their favorite celeb establishments while the metaverse is still under construction.

While digital avatars and virtual merchandise are hot selling products across the world, analysts have predicted that the metaverse will soon become an integral part of the human lifestyle.
