While we all thought that MGK ruined his career by messing up with the Eminem, the Rap God, the feud between them sets the hip-hop industry on fire again.
It all started in 2012 when MGK tweeted the below about Eminem’s daughter which definitely didn’t go well with Eminem and his fans,
“ok so i just saw a picture of Eminem’s daugher… and i have to say, she is hot as fuck, in the most respectful way possible cuz Em is king.”
The repercussions of the tweet from the Eminem fans and Hip Hop industry made MGK suffer a major setback. He even took his frustration to social media with the below explanation,
“At the time, I didn’t think that that was a thing. I’ll tell you this situation, ‘cause this is something that I feel like – quiet as it’s kept – is the reason why certain things [don’t happen]. Pictures of [Hailie] had came out, and I’m like, what, 20 years old, 21 at the time? I said ‘She’s beautiful, but all respect due. Eminem is king. What’s wrong with that? Is there a 15-year age gap where I’m a creep for that? I was 21, dawg. Certain people took it, and ran with it and hyped it up. […] Certain people won’t even listen or review [my album]. Certain places, you won’t even hear Machine Gun Kelly on. Certain things won’t even happen. Look, a friend of mine said it best yesterday. They said ‘Why do you care? You came into the industry blackballed. You already came in with everyone hating you.’ So I’m not stressing it man, ‘cause I’m not wrong.”
Apparently, things aren’t over with that. The feud seems to be fuelled when MGK used his track “No Reason” to disrespect Eminem. The verses from the track that raised eyebrows are,
“I pop cherries and popstars, you popsicles is not hard
Popped in on the top charts out the cop car
To remind y’all you just rap and not God
And I don’t care who got bars.”
Like a bolt from the blue, Eminem dropped a diss track like bombshell against Machine Gun Kelly last week taking everyone by surprise. The track named ‘Not Alike’ from the 13 track album ‘Kamikaze’ goes with the following verses
“But next time you don’t gotta use Tech N9ne. If you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun.
And I’m talkin’ to you, but you already know who the f*** you are, Kelly.
I don’t use sublims and sure as f*** don’t sneak-diss
But keep commentin’ on my daughter Hailie.”
But the fumes broke into flame once again after Machine Gun Kelly called himself a ‘Rap Devil’ releasing a disrespectful track against the Marshall, Eminem. In this track, he takes head-on to disrespect Eminem and his legacy. The lyrics rapped the below lines,
“Mad about something I said in 2012 / Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss.”
“Homie we get it, we know that you’re the greatest rapper alive / (Expletive) dweeb, all you do is read the dictionary and stay inside,”
“The big bad bully of the rap game can’t take a (expletive) joke / Oh you want some (expletive) smoke (what?) / But not literally, you’ll choke.”
“Knees weak of old age / The real Slim Shady can’t stand up.”
MGK taking big digs about Eminem had set the social media on fire. Here are some of the reactions from Twitter,
