The world has come to a standstill ever since the Corona pandemic raised its ugly head. Lost lives, slowed down businesses, and unemployed staff has become the consequence of this global pandemic. While Hollywood remains completely shut down, Netflix has come forward to set aside a fund of $100M for its production staff who remain unemployed during this time of crisis. “Most of the fund will go towards support for the hardest-hit workers on our own productions around the world”, said the streaming service in one of its statements.
Several Netflix productions have been halted during to ongoing Corona scare. With no signs on when the work will resume, the company has also decided to offer two weeks’ pay to its crew apart from the funds allocated. It is indeed a generous move by the American media-service provider as it has promised to help those hardest hit in the industry during this challenging time.
