A recent data from parenting firm, Baby Center revealed that the ‘Muhammad’ broke into the list of Top 10 names for a baby boy.
“While non-Muslim families have a seemingly limitless range of possible names to choose from, tradition is still very important for Muslim families, including the custom of naming a son after the Prophet,” BabyCenter said while releasing the list on Wednesday.
Here are a few stats:
- The name Muhammad was ranked as the 620th as of 2000 in America.
- From there it rose to rank 345 in 2018.
- In the Girl’s department, Aaliyah ranked as the 10th most popular name for a girl in America.
- As per the report, Liam ranked first among boys and Sophia, among girls.
