Oprah Winfrey, Quinta Brunson, Emmys Win

Media mogul, Oprah Winfrey, surprised comedian and actress, Quinta Brunson, with a massive flower bouquet, following her historic win at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards. Brunson made history as the first Black woman to win the Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series or Short Form Comedy.

Oprah Gail Winfrey is an American talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and media proprietor, who was born on January 29, 1954. She is especially known for her talk show named, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and its broadcast from Chicago from 1986 to 2011. She was once the world’s only black billionaire and also the richest African-American of the 20th century.  She was often ranked as the most influential woman in the world. 

Quinta Brunson

Quinta Brunson is an American writer, producer, actress, and comedian, who was born on December 21, 1989. She is especially known for her creating, co-writing, and executive producing. She has played a role in the Abbott Elementary (2021–present) – an ABC comedy series. She then went on to act and produce content for BuzzFeed video and created two streaming series with BuzzFeed Motion pictures.

Winfrey sent a massive flower bouquet, which not only showcased her admiration for Brunson’s talent but also highlighted the significance of the industry’s ongoing journey towards inclusivity.
