Peter Dinklage is reportedly Warner Bros.’ top choice for the male lead role in their upcoming Tom and Jerry movie. Rumors of a live-action Tom and Jerry films have been around for years, but it wasn’t until last year that the project actually seemed to be in the works.
The characters Tom and Jerry first appeared in 1940, with William Hanna and Joseph Barbera producing 114 short skits for MGM. The famous cat and mouse duo is famous worldwide and has starred in several TV shows, but Warner Bros. seems now to be making progress on their first ever live-action Tom and Jerry film.
Dinklage will play the antagonist, named Terrance in the live action movie.
It is not yet sure if Dinklage has been approached by Warner Bros. but it will likely make headlines if he does sign on for the project.
