At the start of January prominent gamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins switched on his web camera and urged his dozens of followers who were part of his life to see the latest flick 1917. He said: “The imagery, dude, this is hands-down the greatest picture movie ever.”
The anticipation has been real but it was not immediate: Universal in the anxiety of its big release of the British War movie that week had considered Blevins for a commercial to attract millions of fans mostly young, male followers the right group that the studio wanted to bring them to cinemas.
Though it was not sure to know the results of 10 million thoughts, the movie earned a whopping sum of $37 million within the country a large pull than imagined for a war film.
The blue-dyed Ninja, the so-called Blevins 29, had performed what Hollywood had expected from him a direct promotion to the next-gen fans. Although unheard, millions of fans follow him in his Instagram, and his post which goes live are seen for hours.
He was so good that back in 2019 he was paid a sum of $30 million by Microsoft Mixer to flee from industry head Twitch for an exclusive contract the very first of its kind.
