The Duke of Sussex has approached the High Court to file documents to sue those who allegedly intercepted his voice mail messages. The particulars and elaborate information on claims or what kind of voice mails got hacked are not yet revealed publicly. However, the royals claim that private information has been misused which is an infringement of copyright and breach of the Data Protection Act 2018.
The case is being funded by Prince Harry and Meghan and, pending a court ruling, proceeds from any damages will be donated to an anti-bullying charity.
It is worth to mention that, Prince Harry during his tour to southern Africa, referred to his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales in a statement, ” My deepest fear is history repeating itself”. “I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person,” he said.
