Three workers in an elderly assisted home in North Carolina are accused of running a fight-club of sorts in the premises. The Danby House takes care of elderly people with dementia according to their website.
Tonacia Yvonne Tyson, 20, Taneshia Deshawn Jordan, 26, and Marilyn Latish McKey, 32, were arrested after they had been filming regular bouts of fights among the residents of the facility. They have been organizing fights and encouraging residents to physically fight each other since June.
Videos from the fights emerged which shows residents yelling and involving in aggressive physical duels.
As per the report, workers in the facility can be heard saying– “Punch her in the face” and “Stop screaming” in the undisclosed video. Another worker was heard asking for the video to be sent to her later. In another one of the clips, one elderly woman choked the other, causing one of the workers to say, “You’re making her turn red.” All this had been going on and the workers never bothered to intervene and take control of the situation.
The three women charged with assault are expected to appear in court on November 14th.
