Robert Downey Jr.’s shocking transformation for ‘The Sympathizer’

Robert Downey Jr. goes Bald for ‘The Sympathizer’

Robert Downey Jr. shocked his fans with a dramatic change in his appearance with a bald look. This new makeover is for his role in the upcoming show ‘The Sympathizer,’ based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Pulitzer Prize-winning Vietnamese-American professor Viet Thanh Nguyen.

The versatile actor attended the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences 13th Governors Awards recently. He was accompanied by his wife Susan and was unrecognizable to many of his fans on the red carpet. He flaunted his bald look very confidently and was stunning in a black suit with a white shirt.

The iconic Iron Man actor had shared a video on Instagram earlier, before Halloween. In the video he was seen asking his kids Exton, 10, and Avri, 8 to help him shave his head, “I don’t want to have to wear a bald cap, so will you guys shave my head?”.

He captioned the video post “The things we do for our work… and our kids. #Sympathizer set ready.”  The actor debuted his bald look for the first time earlier this month in the exquisite screening of Sr., a Netflix documentary on his father.

One of his diehard fans went on social media writing “What the helllll??😂😂😂😂 I love it tho….Love u 3000 Iron man…Even when your bald or full of hair😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Iron Man Responds to Martin Scorsese’s Controversial Comment!

                                                                                                        Oct 14, 2019

It’s yet another day of controversy in Hollywood when the prominent filmmaker Martin Scorsese makes his comment on superhero subjects. Though he is not new to it, he has turned to the Marvels.

Martin said: “that he had tried and failed to engage with Marvel films, and claimed they were “not cinema”.

To his statement, the Avenger star Robert Downey Jr has responded back at the Howard Stern show with a cool head that: “he respects and lauds the ace director’s views and he himself felt that the Marvel production is “very large, multi-headed Hydra at this point.”

He went on to add saying: “I appreciate his opinion because I think, it’s like anything,” he continued, “we need all of the perspectives so we can come to the center and move on and that he wasn’t personally offended by Scorsese’s claim, he believed the notion that Marvel films were not cinema made “no sense”.

Robert Downey Jr also made a funny statement at the show saying “like Stern is not the radio.”

Besides, when asked whether Scorsese said this out of envy, the actor replied saying: By the way, there’s a lot to be said about how these genre movies – and I was happy to be a part of the ‘problem’, if there is one – denigrated the form of cinema and when you come in like a stomping beast and you eliminate the competition in such a demonstrative way, it’s phenomenal.”

His statement was supported by his co-actor Samuel L Jackson who said that “not everyone likes Scorsese’s films, either and I mean, we happen to, but everybody doesn’t,” he shared with a magazine. “There are a lot of Italian-Americans that don’t think he should be making films about them like that. Everybody’s got an opinion, so it’s OK. It’s not going to stop anyone from making movies.”

Apart from this, other celebrities like James Gunn filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Avengers director shared their views in the comments.
