Russell from Houston Rockets has recently shared his thoughts on his pals move to Oklahoma City Hunters. As it was an expected move, Russell has stated that he had already known that it would happen.
He said that: “I can’t be surprised if me and Paul were in communication the whole time,” Westbrook said in an interview with Rob Mahoney of Sports Illustrated. “So I wouldn’t say I was surprised at all. I’m all for doing what’s best for my teammates. If Paul felt like it was time for him to move on and explore options, then I’mma back him. That’s the type of relationship we have.”
So, all through the dealing, Russell was aware and when the contract was signed even Russell shifted as well. During their seasons in the past, both of them did not enjoy success as they went through injuries and discrepancies.
But their friendship has been going strong after they first met at the Olympics when they represented the USA. Apart from this, they are been on top of the list in NBA for their performance.
Well, wishing Russ and Paul all success and hope they bring many more garners to their teams.
