Selena Gomez is Signed-up to Star in Hulu’s ‘Only Murders in the Building’

The songstress and actress, Selena Gomez is looped in for an upcoming web series produced by Dan Fogelman, ‘Only Murders in the Building’. The producer is known for creating a popular web series ‘This is US’ which stream on NBC.

Selena Gomez is set to star alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short in the comedy straight-to-series. The new web series ‘Only Murders in the Building’ is written by Martin and Joh Hoffman and was reportedly flagged-off in January.

According to sources, the plot of the web series is a comedy which is about people who are intrigued by true crime stories and would probably be the first ones to binge on documentaries and things. The official plotline is, “The series follows three strangers (Martin, Short, and Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.”

Speaking about the plot, Hulu’s head of originals, Craig Erwich, told Deadline, “I heard the pitch on Wednesday, and it was the best hour I had all week.” He added, “It’s really special, surprisingly emotional. It’s really modern and self-referential about podcasts and murders, it’s got some great surprises. When they pull this off, it’s going to be really special.”
