Teen Mom” is one of the American reality television series that is being broadcast by MTV. And, Catelynn Baltierra plays a prominent role in this show. Very recently, she has talked openly about her childhood experiences and also shared that she was sexually abused during her childhood days. Her revelations happened during the “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” reunion, where Catelynn talked about it to hosts, Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa. Catelynn has said that she was around 7 or 8 years old when the abuse happened.
It seems that Catelynn Baltierra has revealed her past news only very recently to her parents, and they have not taken it well. She stated that this piece of news might have led to a “rocky” relationship with her mother. Catelynn Baltierra, however, did not reveal who her childhood abuser was.
Tyler Baltierra, Catelynn’s husband, has also opened up about his childhood abuse. The 31-year-old has said, “I was holding on to a lot of guilt and shame,” And then, he has added, “Because I feel like being molested as a child created this hypersexuality growing up.”
When Tyler, the father of 3 daughters, wanted to talk openly about his past to his wife, Catelynn, he wrote a letter to her. But he actually ended up reading the contents of the letter aloud to her! And, Tyler had to undergo intensive therapy sessions to come to terms with his traumatic past.
