The Fashion Sensation of the 50’s –Audrey Hepburn!

The well-known star of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is Audrey Hepburn. Known to be a classic till today in Hollywood, the movie made Audrey go heights in career. Hailing from Brussels, Belgium she was very beautiful and enticing at a very young age.

She pursued her high school in England and when World War II broke out she was studying at “Arnhem Conservatory” in the Netherlands. After the country was brought under the Nazis she and her mom had a tough time surviving there. It is said that she was a part of the “resistance movement” sending messages.

After her studies, she made her first appearance in the Broadway production of Gigi in 22 years. Post that she went on to do Roman Holiday in 1953 alongside Gregory Peck. Further in 1961, she did the classic flock Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She is one of the h.skc0yyandpicked to receive Emmy awards, Tony, Oscars.

Later she took a break from acting and came back with a bang with the movie Sabrina 1954 which was well appreciated. Audrey also got nominated for the academy award for the movie romantic comedy.

Once quitting from movies in her later days she was a goodwill ambassador at the UNICEF in 1980. She worked to create awareness among children. She visited various countries like Asia, Africa and South America more than 50 times. She also received Oscars for her humanitarian service in 1993 but sadly she died before getting it on January 20^th, 1993 due to colon cancer in her house in Switzerland.

But her work was carried over by her children and her partner Robert Wolders and has founded the Audrey Hepburn Memorial Fund in the UNICEF.
