In a time where the world countries are taking every possible step to contain the Corona outbreak, the U.S has been criticized for being irrationally slow in dealing with the pandemic. From chaotic airports to insufficient health screenings, the Trump administration has been slammed. With around 3,283 people being tested positive, people feel the government should have acted faster to curtail the spread.
On Monday, the U.S President fueled the controversy by posting a tweet that read, “The United States will be powerfully supporting those industries, like Airlines and others, that are particularly affected by the Chinese Virus. We will be stronger than ever before”.
In spite of the advice from WHO that it is strictly offensive to pass discriminatory comments by linking Covid-19 with China or Wuhan, Trump has passed this insensitive statement that kindled angst globally.
It was only last week when Zhao Lijian, a Chinese politician, blamed the U.S military for introducing the virus into China.
