Trump said that the revolutionary army of 1775 took over ‘airports’.
President Donald Trump rewrote history at Lincoln Memorial in his speech on Thursday, claiming that the army under George Washington was able to capture ‘airports.’
The slip of tongue occured in the middle of Trump’s ‘Salute to America’ speech for the Fourth of July amidst thunderstorms in Washington D.C.
Trump said—
“In June of 1775, the Continental Congress created a uniform army out of the revolutionary forces outside of Boston and New York and named after the great George Washington, commander in chief“.
Apart from that, there were two other instances when Trump mentioned about Airports. Twitter exploded, with numerous people coming forward to correct the speech.
Trump and his theatrics never seem to end.
