Washington Ballet Director Julie Kent Stated That She is Recovering From COVID-19

Former ace ballerina star and director of Washington Ballet Julie Kent had tested positive with corona off late and on her latest health, she shared with her followers on Instagram on Saturday which seems to be her 51^st birthday.

“A couple of weeks ago, I tested positive for COVID-19,” wrote Kent, who retired from American Ballet Theatre in 2015 after a 29-year career. She joined the Washington Ballet the following year. “Thankfully, I am recovering well.”

But she did not respond to calls and messages when reached out.

Though she had given complete details on her virus affected stage, there was a minimum of 3 staff at the organization. Adding to this there was also news on Co-chairman Ashley Bronczek’s corona diagnosis.

Further, there was also a ballet dancer “who had a non-dancing role in the gala,” as per the American Guild of Musical Artists, the dancers’ union.

“We are pleased that he has made a full recovery,” AGMA stated.

The event titled “The Washington Ballet Takes Center Stage” was conducted online but was brought together with a massive group of the in-person association at the ballet headquarters in Wisconsin Avenue NW.

Few of the dance numbers were shot outdoor on prior and the remaining was filmed live from the respective ballet studios where contestants, fund organizers, and Kent came together for performances and comments.

Ballet authorities also stated that they ensured to abide by the procedures given by the Centers for Disease Control prior to conducting the event.
