On 16th June 2024, the 77th Tony Awards happened in New York City. Ariana DeBose, the American actress, hosted the show (for the 3rd year in a row). Do you know which actors and movies bagged the awards? Let’s give them a quick glance!
The play, “Stereophonic,” and the musical, “Hell’s Kitchen,” won the highest number of nominations for the night. “Stereophonic” also won the Best Play Award, and “The Outsiders” bagged the award for the Best Musical. The heartthrob of many, Daniel Radcliffe, also took home his first major award and also his first Tony Award! Do you know for which category he won the award? It was for his role in “Merrily We Roll Along” that he clinched the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor.
Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, and Rachel McAdams were the others who won the coveted Tony Award for their performances.
Many of the costumes the stars wore and shone in attracted eyes from all over. Alicia Keys stunned audiences with her Gucci gown, whereas Sarah Paulson stole the show in a custom Prada dress. Angelina Jolie wore an Atelier Versace gown. Rachel McAdams was seen in an elegant black Givenchy gown.
