The Backstreet Boys released one of their famous singles towards the turn of the new millennium from their aptly titled album Millennium. The track went on to break records and hit the top ten of the record charts. It also went on to earn a Grammy nomination.
Now you may wonder, why are we talking about this track that came more than 20 years back. Well, for uninitiated the video track of this single coupled with the lyrics is far more relevant to today than ever before.
The video shows five parallel tracks, one each of the singers in grim situations of their respective lives. It starts with a guy grieving for himself looking at his death where the doctors are unable to do anything (rings a bell?).
It further goes on to show the remaining four singers go on to grieve the loss of people in their respective lives ranging from partners to parents to friends (chills the spine?)
The video concludes with all the grieving folks converging at a commonplace and walking towards a new dawn, together (the new normal?).
