Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Ferrell are good to go to play the leads in Fox searchlight’s “Downhill”. The movie is an official change of Swedish executive Ruben Ostlund’s widely praised highlight “Force Majeure”.
The 2014 film included Johannes Kuhnke, Lisa Loven Kongsli and Kristofer Hivju in the number one spot. The remake for the studio will be coordinated by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash who are best known for co-writing “The Descendants”. Jesse Armstrong, who composed the film “Four Lions” and made the HBO series “Succession”, has written the screenplay.
The film’s story pursues a couple who take their family for an excursion at a ski hold up, just for things to go south rapidly. Louis-Dreyfus will likewise produce the film. The official producers will be Stefanie Azpiazu, Ostlund and Erik Hemmendorff.
